GOLDENFRAZIL LIMITED, with its registered office at Themistokli Dervi, 48, Centennial Building, 7th Floor, Flat/Office 701, P.C. 1066, Nikosia, Cyprus, delivered, on 26 February 2007, to UNIPETROL, a.s. ("Unipetrol") a request pursuant to Section 182 (1) (c) of the Commercial Code for assertion of a right for damages in the amount of CZK 351,877,163 which according to GOLDENFRAZIL LIMITED Unipetrol has towards members of the Board of Directors of Unipetrol (the "Request").

Based on the assertions of GOLDENFRAZIL LIMITED, the damage on the part of Unipetrol allegedly resulted from a breach of a duty of the Board of Directors of Unipetrol to act with due managerial care and to prevent damages in connection with the sale of shares of SPOLANA a.s. owned by Unipetrol to Zakłady Azotowe ANWIL Spółka Akcyjna ("Anwil") under the Share Purchase Agreement of 27 October 2006.

Upon its receipt, the Supervisory Board of Unipetrol immediately commenced a diligent and complex review of the Request. The Supervisory Board of Unipetrol performs all the steps in order to complete the process of the review of the Request without undue delay while taking into consideration the complexity and nature of the subject matter.

The result of the review of the Request will be communicated by the Supervisory Board to the Czech National Bank, the Prague Stock Exchange and RM-SYSTÉM, a.s. and will be posted on the web sites of Unipetrol.
