UNIPETROL, a.s. hereby announces that the General Court of the European Union ("Tribunal"),  decided to annul the decision of the European Commission from November 2006, according to which companies UNIPETROL, a.s. and its former subsidiary Kaučuk, a.s. (at present SYNTHOS Kralupy, a.s.) were found responsible for participating in cartel in the area of Emulsion Styrene Butadiene Rubber ("ESBR"). Tribunal decided, that European Commission did not prove, that companies Synthos and Unipetrol committed cartel action. Both companies are thus eligible for reimbursement of jointly paid fine of EUR 17.5m.
