UNIPETROL, a.s. (“Unipetrol”) informs that on 10 June 2016 UNIPETROL RPA, s.r.o. (“Unipetrol RPA”), 100% owned subsidiary of Unipetrol, signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) with ANWIL S.A. (“Anwil”), 100% owned subsidiary of PKN ORLEN S.A., based on which Unipetrol RPA acquired from Anwil 100% share capital of SPOLANA a.s. (“Spolana”). The acquisition price for the shares in the amount of EUR 1 million will be financed from own financial sources. Completion of the transaction is expected within one week from the signing date.

 

The takeover of full control over Spolana’s assets and operations will allow Unipetrol to be more flexible and resilient in terms of production optimization, production and sales of ethylene and it will also allow a better coordination of Unipetrol’s value chain that will be more integrated after the transaction.
