UNIPETROL, a.s. (“Unipetrol”) informs that due to the extraordinary event on Fluid Catalytic Cracking (“FCC”) unit at the Kralupy refinery which occurred on 17 May 2016, the crude oil processing in the Kralupy refinery will be suspended in the following days. Consequently, the Litvínov refinery will continue in limited production mode and polypropylene production will be also limited.
It is currently estimated that the Kralupy refinery will be restarted in few weeks time.
Precise impact on the Litvínov refinery and polypropylene production and estimation of negative impact on Unipetrol Group financial results is now subject of further evaluation and analysis.
