During the drill, a propylene leak will be simulated while a rail tank car is being loaded at the liquid gas storage facility. The purpose of the drill is to test the effectiveness of the internal emergency response plan, the preparedness of employees, and the coordination of operational teams, the company’s fire department, and other involved units in responding to an emergency. During the drill, warning signals and announcements may be heard on the premises and in the surrounding area.
The simulated emergency will not extend beyond the premises; the road running alongside the refinery will remain open to traffic without restrictions.
