We are an important part of Czech industry, because we process crude oil, as well as producing fuels, plastics and chemicals. Millions of people use our products every day. We want to use this reach to have a positive impact across our entire value chain. We are gradually going over to the principles of a low-carbon and circular economy. We are working to make meaningful progress on global challenges such as mitigating climate change, as well as contributing to a prosperous society for our employees, communities and the people who depend on our products. We are fully committed to operating our portfolio responsibly and to serving the interests of our key partners.
Environmental protection and a responsible approach are priorities for us. We signed up to the global
Responsible Care programme in 1999. We have repeatedly defended our commitments arising from the programme and the Association of the Chemical Industry (ACI CR) has granted us the right to use the programme’s logo. Reports on the fulfilment of the Responsible Care programme are discussed annually with representatives of unions and local and regional government authorities.
