We are informing in connection with the notice regarding the occurrence and duration of a force majeure event dated 26 March 2026, which arose as a result of the escalation of the international geopolitical situation, leading to disruptions in the supply chain and significant restrictions on the supply of raw materials, which our company uses in its production processes and which has seriously jeopardised crude oil processing at our refinery in Litvínov, as well as production at the ethylene unit and the polymerisation units (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Notification’).
We would like to inform that the obstacle – the force majeure event of which you were informed in the Notice – ceased to exist on 30 June 2026, as, in response to geopolitical developments (we refer in particular to the announced signing of a memorandum between the USA and Iran), the effects of the force majeure event described above have been mitigated, the price of crude oil and other raw materials has stabilised and their availability on the market has improved; consequently, from this point onwards, ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. is able to resume fulfilling its obligations arising from contracts with our business partners.
