The ORLEN filling station network continues to develop its Stop Cafe food concept and is kicking off this year’s gourmet season. In collaboration with chef Roman Staša, it is introducing two new gourmet items—the Master Hot Dog and the Pork Hoisin Burger—which will be added to the Stop Cafe menu at select ORLEN filling stations throughout the Czech Republic.
Customers can enjoy the new items at selected ORLEN filling stations across the Czech Republic starting this week. To mark the launch, a special event takes place today, Tuesday, April 21, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the ORLEN Prague – Argentinská filling station, where Chef Roman Staša will personally prepare the Master Hot Dog and Pork Hoisin Burger. The first thirty visitors will receive a free burger.
“Our ambition is to deliver a truly distinctive experience to our customers through high quality products developed specifically for ORLEN. The collaboration with a popular Czech MasterChef allows us to further elevate the Stop Cafe concept and bring chef crafted flavors into everyday journeys. We are confident that customers will respond very positively, and this cooperation marks just the beginning – with plans to develop similar concepts across other ORLEN markets,” says Agnieszka Bobrukiewicz, a member of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group’s Board of Directors responsible for retail in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Austria, and Executive Director for the non-fuel segment at the ORLEN Group.
This vision is reflected in the continued development of the Stop Cafe concept, where ORLEN focuses on expanding its food offer with chef crafted products designed specifically for customers on the road. “We want to develop Stop Cafe as a brand that people connect with and look forward to when they are on the go. It is not just about convenience food, but about taste, quality, and an experience that makes customers want to come back. The collaboration with Roman Staša and the launch of the gourmet season are the next steps on this journey—we are bringing dishes with character that customers can enjoy even while on the go,” says Rostislav Moravec, director of the ORLEN filling station network in the Czech Republic.
The Stop Cafe gourmet season will not be limited to filling stations. This year, ORLEN is also bringing it to food festivals, where visitors will be able to enjoy new products at a time when food and drink are the focus and a natural part of the experience. The ORLEN filling station network has therefore become the general partner of the entire Elimon Fresh Festival series, which will take place this year in Pardubice, Slavkov u Brna, and Plzeň. At every stop in the series, an ORLEN zone with a Stop Cafe bistro will be set up, where ORLEN will present selected latest items from its gastronomic concept.
At the Pilsen Elimon Fresh Festival, ORLEN will showcase not only culinary innovations crafted with Roman Staša but also a fresh lineup of Stop Cafe summer non-alcoholic mixed drinks, developed internally as part of the Stop Cafe concept for this season. Visitors will enjoy premium coffee and have the opportunity to meet the head chef in person, as well as selected influencers and creators who will share their culinary experiences with them.
“I like food that is hearty and makes sense in the environment where it is created. Thanks to the #BEZADRESY project, I spend a lot of time on the road, and filling stations naturally become places where you stop to eat. That’s why the collaboration with Stop Cafe felt so natural to me. Together, we wanted to create dishes I would genuinely enjoy having at a filling station – high quality, creative, and suitable for people who eat on the go. That was exactly the mindset behind the Master Hot Dog and the Pork Hoisin Burger,” adds chef Roman Staša.
The Gourmet Season thus connects quality gastronomy with the world of travel and experiences - from ORLEN filling stations to summer festivals across the country, including the contest “Spend 1,000 CZK and win a private cooking session with Roman Staša”.
ORLEN – the international network of fuels, energy and refreshments
The ORLEN network of filling stations is a member of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group owned by the international ORLEN Group, which runs more than 3,500 fuel stations in seven Central European countries – Poland, Czechia, Germany, Lithuania, Hungary, Austria, and Slovakia. In Czechia, the ORLEN network comprises 443 stations with a 28.6% market share in the volume of fuels sold. The ORLEN network is a market leader in terms of both the number of sites and the volume of fuels sold. The popularity of the ORLEN brand with Czech consumers is reflected by the fact that the ORLEN network of filling stations has been awarded as the Most Trustworthy Brand in Czechia six times and as the Merchant of the Year three times.
At its stations, ORLEN offers premium Efecta fuel with a proven purifying effect and top-class Verva fuel that cares for the engine system and offers enhanced performance parameters. ORLEN sites also provide alternative fuels, including liquified petroleum gas (LPG), compressed natural gas (CNG), synthetic fuel HVO100, and battery- and hydrogen-driven e-mobility. ORLEN offers electricity at 294 charging points and operates hydrogen refuelling stations in Prague- Barrandov and Litvínov-Záluží.
The Stop Cafe concept is a significant part of the offering, being a crucial pillar in ORLEN brand’s convenience sales. In the Czech Republic, Stop Cafe is available at 363 out of 443 filling stations, i.e., at more than 80% of them. It is offered at nearly 2,500 sites within the entire international network. Stop Cafe offers a broad range of meals and food products – from popular hotdogs and coffee to more than 1,000 products, including packaged food, ready-to-serve meals, and specialities in traditional, vegetarian, and vegan versions. The offer keeps developing – the ORLEN competence centre in Prague is working on new product ranges focused on a healthy lifestyle, including breakfasts, bakery products, ready-to-serve meals, and private brand products that will react to the current trends and customer needs.
ORLEN also issues its own fuel cards, EASY and BUSINESS, and runs two mobile apps – the loyalty ORLEN app and a car care app, Mycí digi linka.
